I am a freelance visual effects artist, animator and generalist with a broad range of experience. I currently specialise in building creatures, grooming, hair, fur and feathers. The most common tools I use are Maya, Max, Yeti, Ornatrix, Mudbox and zBrush. I have extensive experience with Redshift, Arnold, Vray, 3delight and real time engines.
I ran my own company, SubZero Media Productions specialising in multimedia design, for eight years before moving to Momentum to become an animator. I moved to Torus Games where I wrote the concept and directed a first person shooter for PS2.
I then moved to Act3 Animation as director and senior artist. My tasks include writing and directing game trailers and cut-scenes, project management and hands-on work in all areas of 3d-cg production including motion capture direction, performance and data wrangling.
I became Studio Manager at Crytalised which developed animated feature films, live action films and mobile game development.
I worked on four feature films as visual effects artist at Iloura and since then I have freelanced at many of the major CG and post houses around Australia and overseas.
I produced Hotel Transylvania 3: Monsters Overboard at Torus Games. Created with Unity for Switch, Playstation, Xbox and Steam as well as performing production tasks on Beast Quest on Steam.
At Zero One I produced over 4,500 assets and several cinematics Age of Empires III and tripled the company's output within two months.
As Producer at Playside I worked on several mobile titles including The Godfather and Equestriad. Equestriad was liveOps with 30k daily users.
I currently teach animation (character performance) at Deakin University. I have taught at Monash University and Holmesglen Institute of Tafe - animation, character modelling and rigging using Maya. I have also taught non-linear digital editing at AFTRS Melbourne.
